Being with him that weekend, I can say that he paints a beautiful scene that is incredibly accurate. From this truth, I can’t help but be further justified in my reasoning that Los Angeles is an overall depressing place. I remember the limo driver that Simon wrote about talking to us about “being either LA or SF”. I guess at the end of the day, I’m happy to side with a cold, foggy city that is full of nuts and fruits than a city that has their existence pinned on spectacle.

I digress.
